The trend forecasting company WGSN in partnership with Coloro, have introduced Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2023 – Digital Lavender. The COTY is an amalgamated hue that combines the sense of digital culture with the visual of the color purple. The color evokes feelings of calmness and serenity. It will dominate the 2023 color palette and be highlighted in fashion and home design products.
In addition to Digital Lavender, Pantone includes a collection of complementary colors which includes Sundial, Luscious Red, Tranquil Blue, and Verdigris. These colors are described as “hyper real”, “immersive”, “sensorial” and “clear” respectively. The names of the five shades were chosen to reflect the mentality of consumers in 2023.
